My Journey

A decade of designing interaction models, inventing input paradigms, and defining how people experience technology.

2011 – 2013

Education Platform — Full-Stack Web Application

Self-directed deep dive into software engineering to prototype a novel knowledge-sharing and note-taking platform. Taught myself JavaScript, Node.js, HTML5, CSS, MySQL, and object-oriented programming — then built a custom library and API from the ground up to bring the concept to life.

Roles: Front-End & Back-End Web Development

2015

Samsung— Foldable Tablet Interaction Research

Explored the role of multi-screen interactions in the future of mobile computing. Investigated whether a secondary display could unlock entirely new experience paradigms through a novel interaction model for foldable form factors.

Roles: Videography, Research Support

2016

Intel — "Our AI Future" Conference Keynote

Taught myself Blender in under a month to deliver a 3D-animated vision video for an Intel conference keynote on the future of artificial intelligence in personal computing. Owned the full creative pipeline from storyboard through final render.

Roles: 3D Animation, Storyboarding
2017

Jaguar Land Rover — Mobile Future Research

Investigated the role of the smartphone within the vehicle cabin. Defined opportunities for interplay between the in-vehicle infotainment system and the driver's personal device to enhance the overall driving experience.

Jaguar Land Rover — HUD Navigation Assist

Explored the role of a heads-up display in the vehicle experience. Designed and prototyped HUD-based navigation cues to reduce cognitive load and keep the driver's eyes on the road during complex maneuvers.

Hyperloop One — Ticketing Experience

Defined the UX for a ticketing application that needed to convey the fundamental paradigm shift in how passengers perceive time and distance when traveling at supersonic speeds. The challenge: reframing a familiar travel paradigm for an entirely new mode of transportation.

Roles: Research, Interaction Design

VinFast Automotive — IVI Interaction Architecture

Invented the "Digital Knob" — a touchscreen interaction paradigm that replaces the physical fan and temperature knobs found in legacy vehicles with an intuitive, screen-native control.

Designed the global interaction model for the touchscreen; the mental model for navigating between car controls, climate, and all other apps.

Wind River — Deployment Testing Product

Led multiple design and development cycles of a product for testing developer code. Met with PMs and engineers to spec the system and design a front end interface for executing and managing libraries of tests.

Roles: Lead Designer, Usability Testing Facilitator

Wind River — IoT Platform Standardization

Standardized the interaction model for search functionality and all table components across the entire Wind River product suite. Standardized the UX team's protocol for annotating and delivering production-ready design specifications.

Wind River — Notification System

Met with PMs from each product team to define notification taxonomy and standardize front-end experience. Created novel inheritance based personalization system to reduce cognitive overload and increase signal for various personas.

Roles: UX Architect, Lead Designer, Usability Testing Facilitator
